Chili's @ KLCC

Entry: 24
26th November 2006

Dear Diary,

Darling and I celebrated our 10th month anniversary on the 24th of November in Chili's at KLCC. We went there nearing 7pm. It was packed with people as it was the peak hour for dinner time and we were put on the waiting list. After waiting for what seemed to be like eternity, we finally got a table in a little corner of the restaurant.

I love Chili's!

We shared the Iced Lemon Tea drink (RM7.25) which was one of the bottomless beverages there.

This is what darling had that night. Chili's Cheesesteak which was priced at RM22.95. This is a sandwich that contains a philly steak which is grilled with onions, bell peppers, mushrooms and swiss cheese. I totally loved the fries that came along. They were huge. Haha... Darling was so stuffed after eating the whole thing :p

I had the Mushroom Jack Fajitas which was priced at RM34.95. This serving came with juicy marinated grilled chicken smothered with jack cheese, beef bacon and fresh sauteed mushrooms. All these were served with onions, bell peppers and fire-roasted tomato salsa. It was sizzling hot when they brought it to our table.

It also came served with warm tortillas to wrap my fajitas in.

...and not to forget the guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream used to be folded in and spreaded on the tortillas along with the fajitas. However I only rate this whole dish at 6.5/10 as I didnt quite like the combination of sauteed onions and bell pepper in my food and not to mention the bland taste of the tortillas.

A tortilla specially folded with love for my darling boy. Tee hee... *keke* :) Thank you dear for the special treat. I love you very very very very much. You are the dearest thing to me. Wo yong yuan ai ni lau gong zhai. Muax muax...

Heaps of love,

Bakin' Boys @ KLCC

Entry: 23
26th November 2006

Dear Diary,

After work in Maxis tower, both darling and I went to try out the cookies from Bakin' Boys. This outlet is located on the 4th floor of Suria KLCC near PETROSAINS. We've only passed it once but I have, as usual, read many good reviews on their cookies and was dying to try them. Their cookies are somewhat similar to Mrs. Fields cookies. I do miss Mrs. Fields cookies ever since they've closed down in 1Utama.

Bakin' Boys!

I chose Triple Heavyweight (RM3.90) which is a combination of milk chocolate, dark chocolate and white chocolate. I loved the chocolatey part. Yummilicious. The cookie was however rather soft. I was actually expecting something harder. To my surprise, it's texture was more like a normal chocolate cake's texture. But it was still enjoyable though. I would love to try the rest of their cookies some day :)

Fasta Pasta @ Ikano Power Center

Entry: 22
26th of November 2006

Dear Diary,

We had dinner here in Fasta Pasta on the same day that we had lunch in One Utama's Kluang station. I came to know of this place through other food blogs. We actually came over to Ikano Power Center after watching The Prestige in Cineleisure at The Curve with my friends and darling. Both darling and I agreed that it was a good movie. Darling knew that I've been wanting to try out Fasta Pasta's pastas. Haha... So yay, he brought me here to satisfy my wild desires *grin* It was almost 9pm when we got there.

Our complimentary bread which was on the house.

My dainty cup of Italian Chocolate (RM5.90). Anything chocolatey is definately a favourite of mine! But they only gave me 2 pieces of biscuits to dip into the chocolate. We ended up finishing the chocolate with our bread instead. Hmph....

Darling ordered their Ice Lemon Tea (RM4.90)

Darling had been wanting to eat Macaroni ever since I mentioned Fasta Pasta. Hence, he ordered their Macaroni Peppino (RM17.90) which sounded very attractive on the menu by its description. However, we were a little disappointed when the plate of macaroni arrived looking a wee bit smaller than expected and not really up to what we had in mind. Darling said it would have tasted better if they were more generous on the mozzarella chese.

I had the Lagsana (RM16.90) which again, looked very nice on the menu but it also wasnt what I had expected when it arrived. However, it was still presentable and and tasted rather good. I managed to finish my food this time without darling's help as we both ordered the asian serving size. We had a choice between asian size and aussie size (which is definetely much bigger). I liked the service here though. They were quite fast in serving us and were rather friendly :)

Kluang Station @ One Utama

Entry: 21
26th November 2006

Dear Diary,

This whole week was really packed with agendas for for me and darling. Gosh, I need sleep so badly. On Wednesday, we went to One Utama to meet my friends up for 'shopping'. Haha... We first went makan-ing with Xue Yan and Wei Hang in Kluang Station which I heard was a nice place to try through other food blogs.

The shiny menu. It was the reflection of the bright lights in the restaurant that caused the blur picture. Sorry.... ^_^

I and darling shared the Pineapple drink while Xue Yan had Lime Juice and Wei Hang had Milk Tea. I kinda forgot the prices though :p

Wei Hang and I both ordered Hainanese Chicken Chop (RM9.90). It was nice. The chicken went well with the tomato baked beans and fries. I rate it at 7.5/10. However the serving portion was a little too big for me.

Both darling and Xue Yan had their Kluang Laksa (RM8.80). I tried some of darling's laksa. Not too bad. It tasted like any normal laksa you can get outside. I still prefer Mark's Assam Laksa and Penang Village's Laksa.

Too bad I didnt manage to try their famous toast. I heard that it's very very nice but I just wasnt that hungry. Another time perhaps...

The Olden Ship @ Cheras

Entry: 20
26th November 2006

Dear Diary,

Darling and I went on a hunt for his Man Utd polo tee on Tuesday. We went everywhere! Times Square, Sg. Wang Plaza, Bkt Bintang Plaza, Lot 10, KL Plaza and even The Mall near PWTC. But yet we couldnt find what he was looking for :( Don't be sad dear.... We'll have better luck next time ok? Muax!

Since darling parked his car in Bukit Jalil, we decided to go down to The Olden Ship in Cheras for dinner and drinks. It's a music cafe with unplugged bands playing there and really really cheap drinks during their happy hour time.

The jug of Tiger beer darling ordered. (RM23.90 during happy hour)

I ordered the Butter Chicken Rice (RM3.90). Freaking freaking cheap! But the sauce was a little too sweet for my liking. Hmmm..... But I couldnt expect too much either for the price I paid :p

Darling ordered the Black Pepper Fish Rice (RM8.90). This was really good. It came topped with minced meat and fries. The black pepper sauce was really appetizing.

The soup that came along with our rice. They served it in japanese miso-soup bowls. Hmm... is that suppose to be creative or just plain funny? I dont know man... :p

Darling called his bandmate over to join us for drinks. We played cards and Jenga till about 12 plus before going off to play pool. Luckily Chee Kean joined us. Otherwise I would have gotten drunk trying to finish my share of the beer. Haha.... Another time ya darling! *grin*

Little Taiwan @ Subang Jaya SS15

Entry: 19
26th November 2005

Dear Diary,

Exams are finally over. It ended last Monday. What a great relief off my shoulders yet I was too tired to think of celebrations. All I wanted to do was sleep and get rid of my terrible mouth ulcer. Thank goodness I've found a cure for big, ugly, pain-stabbing mouth ulcers. It's a wonderfully magical little bottle of lotion called Oral Aid (RM6.00) in which I would without a doubt highly recommend to everyone suffering from ulcers. When applied, it numbs the ulcer completely that you wont even feel it there. You can then resume your normal routines of eating, drinking, talking, and shouting. Haha... :p It also speedens up the recovery of the ulcer. Mine was totally healed in just 2 days of constant application. I still cant exactly believe that such a small little bottle costing only 6 bucks could take away a huge load of misery and pain. As of today, I bid ulcer pains adieu.

I asked darling to decide where to go for dinner. He chose Little Taiwan which is located opposite Taylor's College in Subang Jaya SS15. It was our second visit to this restaurant.

Lots and lots of drinks to choose from :)

...and not to mention food too!

Our drinks. I ordered their Peach Pearl Milk Tea (RM3.50). Absolutely lovely :) Darling had their Peach Ice-blended (RM5.90) which was very nice as well.

I've forgotten the name of this particular food darling ordered but I think it sounded something like Spicy Fish Fillet Rice with Minced Meat (RM8.90). I tried some. It was good!

I had their Sweet & Sour Pork Rice (RM7.90). I loved the way they marinated the pork. It was really tasty. Thumbs up :)

The address:
Little Taiwan
No. 24, Jalan SS15/8,
Subang Jaya.

Brother's Birthday @ Genki Sushi @ Sunway Pyramid

Entry: 18
17th November 2006

Dear Diary,

We went to Genki Sushi in Sunway Pyramid on Tuesday to celebrate my brother's 18th birthday. He's finally of legal age. Happy 18th Birthday Si!! :) Genki Sushi is currently having a 20% discount on all food during teatime (3pm to 6pm) everyday.

The cute tissue packets.

Genki Sushi's menu.

Green Tea powder.

It's DIY green tea :p

A cup of green tea made by darling for me :)

The sushis we had. All were yummilicious! :)

Birthday boy's Unagi Set (RM22.80). He seemed to enjoy his meal and especially the lychee pudding! :)

Darling and I shared the Chicken Teriyaki set (RM19.80). It was actually very good! Much better than the Chicken Teriyaki set in Sushi King as they served larger portions. I was really full at the end of the meal. Our bill came up to a total of RM104.20 (inclusive of tax and service charges minus 20%).

We'll definately be back for more *winks*

Extra Cheesy Pizza Take-away @ Pizza Hut Subang Jaya

Entry: 17
17th November 2006

Dear Diary,

I came back from college yesterday telling darling that I felt like eating pizza. Me and my cravings. Haha!! Only my darling can tahan me i think... or is his patience wearing thin? Keke..

Anyway, darling said we'll go order a take-away pizza at Pizza Hut for dinner. Yay yay!! :) We ordered a large Hawaiian Chicken Pizza with stuffed crust and extra cheese toppings (RM33.50 inclusive of tax). It was heaven and very very filling!! Highly recommended for cheese lovers to have their pizza this way *winks*

What you see on the box was not what we ordered. It's just for promotional sake I think :p Haven't tried it though. Seems to be similar to Shakey's quartet pizza.

Our pizza. Hawaiian Chicken Pizza with stuffed crust and extra cheese topping. Cheesy inside out. Just the way both of us like it! Yummy....... :)

Ice-Cream Waffles @ A&W Seremban

Entry: 16
12th November 2006

Dear Diary,

Went out yam cha with darling awhile ago after dinner. It has been such a long time since I last ate waffles so I told darling that I wanted to go to A&W. And yay! He took me there. Hehe... :p

The waffles here aren't as elaborated and flamboyant as the ones in Waffle World as they only have 2 types of waffles that is the Ice-cream Waffle and Waffle with Butter & Honey. Somehow I still prefer A&W's waffles. It's just simple and sweet! :) I ordered their Vanilla Ice-cream Waffle with Strawberry Sauce (RM4.90). Mmmm... The waffle was freshly made n served hot. Yummilicious!! Too bad they stinged on the ice-cream portion though... :(

Oh, darling gave me a lesson on how to cut waffles into straight pieces. I'm kind of a bad cutter... Yes, it's embarrassing, I know... :p

Japanese Cuisine @ Asia Cafe Subang Jaya

Entry: 15
2nd November 2006

Dear Diary,

Since I study in Subang Jaya, I have been to Asia Cafe countless of times but I've never ever done a review on any of the food here. I know of people who travel all the way to Subang just to eat at this hawker centre. My... and it's just located next to where I live. Haha!!

Darling and I had dinner here today. Before this I was having a hard time deciding where and what to eat. So darling had to help me with his special way. Haha... We chose to eat at the Japanese Cuisine stall in Asia Cafe. It's stall number 13 and is located next to the Western Food stall.

I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki set (RM7.90). The set came with a bowl of miso soup and contained rice, chicken teriyaki strips, coleslaw, and a piece of agedashi tofu. I loved the sauce for the teriyaki strips. Delicious!

Darling ordered the Chicken Katsu set (RM7.90). His set had the same things as mine. The only difference is the chicken strips :p Darling rates this meal at 7.5/10. Not too bad actually for a hawker centre outlet :)

Baskin Robbins Day Again

Entry: 14
1st November 2006

Dear Diary,

It was Baskin Robbins Day yesterday. I and darling had hell of a time indulging in one whole quart of handpacked ice-cream. We had a choice of 3 flavours so we chose our all-time-favourite Chocolate Mousse Royal flavour. Other than that, we also chose Swiss Mix and Paralines' n Cream. A quart costed RM27.53 after the 31% discount. It was all so absolutely yummy. Paralines n' Cream was very very sweet as it had caramel in it. I totally enjoyed everything :)

The nice paper bag that came along with our ice-cream :)

Us cleaning out the whole quart of ice-cream *grin* Looks messy but oh-so-yummy! Haha :p Can't wait till the next 31st on Dec.

Cheers,
~* joychariz *~
